Church Planting

  Church Planting
Acts 12:24 describes life in the early church this way: “the word of the Lord continued to grow and to be multiplied.” The truth was spreading, the Gospel was advancing, and the church was continuing to grow. It was growing from town to town, from community to community, past ethnic, economic, and gender borders as the early believers were faithful in their response to Jesus’ commission: “Go and make disciples.”

At Edgewood Bible Church, because of our love for Jesus and His Gospel, we too desire to see “the word of the Lord continue to grow and multiply,” spreading from community to community, breaking past barriers, and transforming lives. A primary way in which we see this desire fulfilled is through the planting of new churches into needy communities—churches committed to proclaiming the truth, praying for the Gospel’s advance, and devoted to the hard work of making disciples of Jesus. This web page explains a little bit about how we, as a church, are working together to see this happen via Church Plants and Church Plant Partnerships.
