VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 2010

This year, the theme for our “Vacation Bible School” will be “What's Noah Doin'?”
V.B.S. will be held August 2nd - 6th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the church facility.
We are very excited about our program this year, and are anticipating a good turn-out
of children! Please pre-register your child so we will have a more
accurate count as we prepare for each age group. Please note that your children
must be no younger than 4 years of age, and no older than going into 6th grade in
the fall. You may also register your children at the door.
We will be having our penny drive again this year (of course, we accept all coins
or offerings!). The proceeds will be given to help support a missionary. In past
years, the V.B.S. children have helped missionaries in Mexico, Poland, Africa and
other places. Remember, it’s boys against girls to see who can bring in the most
offering!
In addition to the penny drive, we help with a community service project each
year. We will be collecting canned food, non-perishable foods and toiletry items.
This is also a boys against girls contest, with an emphasis on bringing specific
items each day (Monday’s item is anything, and of course, we will accept donations
of any kind throughout the week). The food collected will be channeled through our
Benevolence Ministry to meet needs in our local area. This is a good teaching tool
to help the children learn to help others in need.
